This image of the sunset on Mt. Everest was taken from Mt. Kalapatar which is across the valley from Mt. Everest. During the day the warm air from India comes up the valleys engulfing them in clouds. You have to get above these clouds to photograph the magical sunset light. This image was the one that I had been dreaming of all winter as I got in shape for my trek to the Himalaya Mountains of Nepal. Order Item Number T-07 ORDER...

This image of Mt. Washington was photographed from the grounds of the Mt. Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods NH. I spent four hours early one morning taking many images of Mt. Washington as the clouds cleared. This image was one of my favorites. I was on a tripod with a telephoto lens with the mirror locked up , these techniques will help you get sharp images. A wet January snow storm covered all the rocks and trees on Mt. Washington with snow. The storm started to clear at day break. The many layers of clouds helped capture the early morning light and spot light it on the mountains. Getting up early paid off this morning. I was upbeat for many days and couldn’t wait for the film to come back. This image was taken in 1995 and is one of the most colorful sunrises I have taken of Mt. Washington. Mt. Washington and the Presidential Range is in the White Mountain National Forest of N.H. Order Item Number W-02 ORDER...

This image was taken late in the day when side lighting helps bring out the fall colors. The calm afternoon helped with the reflection of Mt. Chocorua. The next day the birch tree lost all of its leaves from strong winds. The birch tree is not as healthy as it once was, but it still makes for a great photograph. This scene is easily seen from Route 16 in Chocorua, NH. which is in New Hampshire’s White Mountains. Order Item Number F-05 ORDER...

The Jackson Covered Bridge is one of the most famous landmarks in Jackson, NH. and is also called the kissing bridge. This image of the Jackson Covered was taken at 6:30 am one December morning as the snow storm ended. What was nice about shooting this time of the year is that the snow banks are not huge, thus the new snow gave me a great foreground. An hour later all the snow had melted from the trees. This composition is not possible to photograph now because the tree with all the Christmas Lights is now gone. Order Item Number: B-03 ORDER...

This photo was taken during the winter of 2001. Some of the challenges in photographing the Jackson Church and Gazebo was finding an evening with snow on the trees, the lights on in the church and a clean foreground from footsteps in the snow all at the same time. This was a 30 second exposure at dusk while it was still snowing. I had dreamt of this image for years until it all came together this evening. Currently this photograph is not possible because the lights are not put up on the Gazebo anymore. Order Item Number C-07 ORDER NOW!...

This photograph of Mt. Washington and The Presidential Range is in the White Mountain National Forest of New Hampshire’s White Mountains and was taken one fall afternoon. I found this location years ago and got permission from the property owner to photograph on their land. This is a beautiful vista that shows the Presidential Range and Conway Lake. There are multiple of compositions at this site, this being one of them. The color here peaks 2 weeks later than up in the higher elevations. The afternoon light gave great color and contrast to the photograph. Order Item Number F-01 ORDER NOW! ...

The rich blue color in ice bergs is better seen in soft light. We had to walk three miles along the beach of Grey Lake to find the spot where the wind had blown all the ice bergs. Once we were there the hours flew by as we created many different compositions of the ice bergs. Grey Glacier is seen in the background. Grey Lake and Glacier is in the Torres del Paine National Park, Patagonia, Chile. Order Item Number T-15 ORDER...

This photograph was taken from the grounds of the Mt. Washington Hotel in Bretton Woods, N.H. The light from the sunset glowed on Mt. Washington as the moon rose. The photograph is hard to achieve because the next night the moon will rise 40 minutes later. This gives a photographer 4 chances a winter to capture the image. When you factor in the chances of the Presidential range being cloud free on the day of the moonrise your chances deminish greatly. Order Item Number W-03 ORDER...
